This page (together with documents referred to on it) tells you the terms for use for Keynotes and our website at www.keynoteslaw.co.uk (our site). By using Keynotes or our site, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them.
We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page, which you are expected to check from time to time to note any changes made. Some of the provisions contained here may also be superseded by information published elsewhere on our site.
Keynotes is a division of Keystone Law Limited (We). We are a limited company registered in England and Wales (registered number 4650763). We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. VAT registration number: GB 809 6078 09.
A list of the members of Keystone Law Limited and of the non-members, who are designated as partners, is open to inspection at the registered office (Matrix Studios, 91 Peterborough Road, LondonSW6 3BU). The term partner is used to refer to a member of Keystone Law or an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications. The members are either solicitors or registered foreign lawyers.
Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period. We may restrict access to all or part of our site to users who have registered with us. If you have a user identification code, password or similar security information for access to the site, you must keep it confidential.
Where we operate our seminars and events for businesses and entrepreneurs (Event), we may use third party events portals or booking engines to assist us with booking and administration (Booking Services). These Booking Services may include online payment facilities for Events. Once we have received confirmation that payment for an Event has been made by you via the Booking Services, you will receive an email confirmation that we have accepted your booking (together with a VAT invoice) at which stage the contract between us is formed.
No refunds are provided for cancelled Events. If the unlikely circumstances that we are forced to cancel an Event, it will be rescheduled for a further date. If you are a consumer, this provision does not affect your statutory rights.
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it or given at Events. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on our site. You must not amend our materials in any way or use them for commercial purposes without our consent. Our status as authors of those materials must always be acknowledged.

Commentary and other materials posted on our site (or given at any Event) are for guidance purposes only. They are not intended to amount to specific legal advice on which reliance should be placed. We therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials.
We aim to update our site regularly, and may change the content at any time. We may suspend access to our site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our site may be out of date at any given time and we are under no obligation to update it.
The material displayed on our site (or conveyed at any Event) is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, we, and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:
- All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
- Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with any Event operated by us, our site or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our site, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for: loss of income or revenue; loss of business; loss of profits or contracts; loss of anticipated savings; loss of data; loss of goodwill; wasted management or office time; and for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.
This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We process information about you in accordance with our privacy policy. By using our site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or use our site to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising material (spam). You must not use our site to promote any illegal activity, nor to defame, impersonate, discriminate, threaten, offend, or infringe the rights of, any person.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our site or downloading material from it.
You may link to our site, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link so as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
Our site must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of our site other than the home page. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission at any time.
